What Luxury Celebrity Swag was in the TASTE AWARDS VIP Gift Bags this Year

Every year the TASTE AWARDS event includes a fantastic feature called the VIP & Celebrity Gift Bag, also known as the Swag Bag. Even though the 12th Annual TASTE AWARDS were presented virtually due to the Pandemic, this tradition continued with “bags” becoming “boxes” that were shipped directly to select award winners, honorees, inductees, and nominees.

They included a selection of luxury chocolates and confections, as well as other unique surprises from partners such as Panache Chocolatier, CocoTutti,  Toni’s Toffee, DGZ Chocolates (Toffarazzi), Hazelnut Hill, Mel’s Toffee, Luxx Chocolat, and Regenie’s.

Award winning filmmaker Rob Serrini produced a short and humorous video about what several award winners received in the 12th annual TASTE AWARDS VIP Gift Bag, which was shipped to them directly in that unique year for awards events during the pandemic.

Viewers Choice IG Influencers Award Winners Announced for 10th TASTE AWARDS

The TASTE AWARDS Committee and the Academy of Media Tastemakers are pleased to announce the winners for the Viewers Choice IG Influencers Category for the 10th Annual TASTE AWARDS.

Cardamom Pear Cake! I grew up mostly in New England and had never heard of or knowingly tasted cardamom, until I moved to Minneapolis. It is a spice that is as quintessential to this place as hockey or hot dish. Once I discovered cardamom I made up for lost time and added it to just about everything. Pears are a particularly good match, because their subtle flavor absorbs the spice and makes it sing. I poached the pears in a spiced liquid and then baked them in a cardamom cake batter that I found in a Baked From Scratch magazine @thebakefeed . Instead of baking the cake as loaves, I put it in a tube pan and arranged the pears in it. When I put the pears in the the batter they wanted to flop over and slide into the batter instead of standing tall. I came up with a MacGyver worthy way of securing the pears so they stay put in the cake and bake up perfectly.
